Staff Recommendation: The Lady Queen

Everyone knows about Elanor of Aquitaine and Elizabeth I, but why haven't we heard of Joanna? Reigning in tumultuous Italy during the Hundred Years War was difficult enough, let alone for a woman. Especially a woman who was accused of murdering her husband the king and had to defend herself in an international court. A highly readable book by a respected historian.
